8 Mil Pure Guardian™ Crawl Space Vapor Barrier Pure Guardian™ is a high quality crawl space vapor barrier made in the USA. This vapor barrier has a bright white surface and a tan back. The back is treated with an antimicrobial to enhance the Pure Guardian’s™ natural ability to fight mold and mildew. This crawl space vapor barrier is available in 8 Mil (actual thickness) and is 10 ‘ x 100’. Pure Guardian™ is made from first use virgin polyethylene resin and is a blown 2 layer film. This film is made by blowing the resin through two different dies at the same time, creating the two layers. The top layer is pure white and helps your crawl space look clean and bright. This layer reflects light very well, allowing you to use fewer light sources to get the light you need to see and inspect your crawl space. The bottom layer is our antimicrobial layer, in tan, and this layer helps reduce mold and mildew growth on the barrier. The roll is 10’ wide and 100’ long. For shipping cost and convenience we fold the roll in half and roll it up on a 5’ wide cardboard core. This allows for easy handling. It is recommended to measure your crawl space first and then cut the Pure Guardian™ crawl space vapor barrier in your yard or driveway. Smaller pieces will be easier to carry into the crawl space and install. The vapor barrier should overlap 8’-10” on the floor and minimum of 4” on the wall. Seams should be taped using a high quality vapor barrier seam tape like WaterProof Seam Tape to help keep moisture under the vapor barrier.
